Trudeau 0538024 oil sprayer: allow for pumping and air space

Check the refill and pump routine

Compare the routine as well as the reservoir size. Trudeau’s indexed instructions describe filling halfway, building pressure with the cap and releasing remaining pressure after use. That makes the nominal 10-ounce capacity a poor guide to the amount carried during spraying. Check the current 0538024 package for cleaning and use instructions before treating these indexed directions as current.

The details that matter

This design needs air inside the bottle to build pressure, so its nominal capacity is not the amount you should fill for use. Trudeau's indexed product instructions call for a half-full bottle and releasing pressure afterward. Check the current package instructions before using it, and include pumping and cleaning in your kitchen routine.

What stands out

• Refillable glass reservoir avoids a battery and disposable pressurized can.

Where to pause

• Usable fill is limited by the required air space, rather than the full nominal bottle capacity.
• Manual pumping and pressure release add steps to every use.

Make the decision

Decide whether pumping, pressure release and cleaning fit your kitchen routine. The required air space limits the usable fill rather than the nominal bottle size. Match the 0538024 and follow the current package directions.

Think about the fit: Cooks comfortable with a refill-and-pump routine
